In this post we’re diving into some of the escape room podcasts the team at The Escape Roomer regularly listen to. From solve-a-long puzzles, to interviews with designers and creators, to mysterious audio dramas with hidden puzzles to solve. In these, there’s a little bit of everything for all types of podcast listeners.
So without further ado, are our absolute favourite escape room themed podcasts you should check out:

The Infinite Escape Room Podcast
“The puzzling podcast where a gaggle of geographically diverse chums come together, have a drink – and work together to solve a home made escape room of the ears.”
This one is at the top of our list for a reason – put simply, we really enjoy it. With The Infinite Escape Room, the clue is in the name. Each episode the hosts take it in turns to design the next chapter of an ongoing, everlasting escape room, whilst the other three (and whichever guests they may have on that episode) solve it to escape. The episodes have their own unique flavour of wacky and often NSFW content, but each is sure to elicit a laugh, or two, or three as the friends blunder through the most unusual puzzley situations. It’s clear the team are, as well as good hosts, also excellent escape room designers. As a bonus, the folks at The Infinite Escape Room Podcast have a Patreon, which if you subscribe you’ll be sent a pin badge-and-postcard puzzle which… Trust me, is one of the most unique little puzzle games. It’s designed by Jamie, one of the hosts of The Infinite Escape Room.

Reality Escape Podcast
“Your hosts David Spira & Peih-Gee Law explore immersive gaming from all angles. Our guests have made awesome stuff: ARGs, puzzle hunts, tabletop games, and of course, escape rooms.”
Reality Escape Podcast is the podcast produced by the team behind Room Escape Artist, and Reality Escape Con. It’s got a mix of interviewing creators, discussing big topics in the escape room industry, as well as bonus episodes titled “Spoilers Club” where specific games are discussed in detail. They cover not just escape rooms, but all things “puzzley”, from ARGs, to immersive experiences, to outdoor puzzle trails, and beyond. They’re one of the few podcasts in the industry consistently putting out high quality content, so are well worth a listen.

Escape This Podcast
“A show that’s a mix of escape room puzzles and tabletop role-playing.”
Similar to The Infinite Escape Room, the Escape This Podcast crew are designers themselves. Each episode they invite guests to join them as they play through a new audio escape room together. The escape rooms are also available for at-home play (provided you have a Games Master to run it) after each episode is live.

Cager Express: Escape Break
“Welcome to the Cager Express: Home to Southern California’s favorite Escape Room Podcast: Escape Break featuring Ezekiel Cager Ky, Beth Divel and Tatiyana Abarro: Sit down with us as we recap fun rooms, interviews and bizarre topics!”
In a much more relaxed and funny environment, Cager Express is full of charisma as the group of friends sit around the discuss escape rooms from a personal perspective. With topics such as “escape rooms as a first date”, to replaying rooms, to TERPECA discussions, to recaps of their own ‘recently played’ and notable rooms.
