London has it’s fair share of incredible, immersive experiences – from Phantom Peak, to the Tomb Raider Live Experience, to the Gunpowder Plot to name a few. The latest to join the capital is something a little different however… Enter: Bridge Command.
Bridge Command is the new gaming theatre sci-fi experience where participants become the crew of a starship travelling through space. There are two types of mission:
- Military, and
- Exploration
Depending on which mission the players pick, teams of up to 14 people will take on their wildest adventures through space and experience first hand the mysteries of space, and ship-to-ship confrontation. It’s a space ship simulation game, built in the real physical world. Imagine that escape rooms are puzzle games built for the physical space, Bridge Command is like a sci-fi simulator brought to the real, physical world.

Owen Kingston, Artistic Director of Parabolic Theatre said:
“This is a truly unique project that has been years in the making. It is a remarkable blend of immersive performance, interactive storytelling and gaming technology, and there really is nothing else out there quite like it. We are extremely excited to finally share it with the world.
During the experience, players will be split between four different roles on the star ship, and members of the Parabolic Theatre join the action in order to keep the missions on track. The roles are:
- Operations, responsible for the overall running of the ship
- Science, responsible for navigation and gathering data
- Engineering, responsible for ship maintenance and repairs
- Command, responsible for leading the crew and making big decisions
Two lucky players will also get to take on the roles of Captain and First Officer.
