Welcome to The Escape Roomer 👋
The Escape Roomer was founded in late 2019 with one goal in mind: to document and celebrate the incredible escape room industry here in the UK. Originally founded by one person, as the UK escape room industry grew, so did The Escape Roomer and now we’re able to cover much more than just physical rooms – everything from puzzles, tabletop games, immersive experiences and beyond. If it has puzzles, we’re there.

The Founder
Mairi Nolan
Mairi is the Founder and Editor in Chief of The Escape Roomer. A caffeine over-consuming game designer herself by day, and escape room enthusiast trying to play every room in the UK by night. Mairi is based in London and Edinburgh, and is an ardent ambassador for the industry. Here at The Escape Roomer, she writes about escape rooms, game design theory, industry news and more. Her portfolio can be found at mairispaceship.com and once a month she produces the Escape Industry Newsletter – a global escape room news bulletin.
